The vase painter was recognized by Georg von Brauchitsch as an independent artisan personality. John D. Beazley attributed two Panathenaic price amphoras to him in his standard works , and classified two more as stylistically related to him. It received its emergency name from the Panathenaic Amphora F in 1833 in the Berlin Collection of Antiquities . He belongs to the workshop of the Eucharides painter , whom he imitates.
