Die Antike Kunst is a Swiss specialist journal in the field of classical archeology .
It was founded in 1958 and is published by the Association of Friends of Ancient Art in Basel . The initiative to found the company went back to Karl Schefold and Herbert A. Cahn .
The journal publishes articles on archeology, art and culture of antiquity in German, French, Italian and English. She also publishes articles and reports from the Swiss collections of antiquities as well as about Swiss excavations abroad.
Up to volume 42, 1999 the magazine appeared in two issues every six months, since 2000 in one volume annually.
