Malinoa (also: Mallenoah ) is a tiny island in the north of Tongatapu in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .
geography
The motu is far off the north coast of the main island Tongatapu, about the same southern latitude as Tau , further to the east. The closest islands to the south are Velitoa Hihifo , Velitoa Hahake and ʻOnevai .
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Tongatapu Group, Malinoa is occasionally hit by cyclones .
