Malkerns is a place in Swaziland . It is located in the Manzini region and has around 9724 inhabitants. Malkerns is a scattered settlement . The place is 776 meters above sea level in the Middleveld west of Manzini . To the west the landscape rises to the Highveld . The Lusutfu flows south of the village . The area around the village is called Malkerns Valley.

Mainly sugar cane and pineapples are grown in the Malkerns Valley . The market Mahlanya Market is of regional importance. The Swazi Candles Factory also makes candles for export. Malkerns is on the MR18 highway that connects Bhunya with Kwaluseni near Manzini . From the MR18, the MR27, which leads north towards Mbabane, branches off in town.

In 2008 the European Union supported the reconstruction of the drinking water supply in Malkerns with five million euros.
