Mamman Makama

Mamman Makama (born November 23, 1946 ) is a former Nigerian sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the Olympic Games in 1968 he reached the quarter-finals over 400 m and was eliminated in the 4-by-400-meter relay in the preliminary run.

In 1970 he retired from the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh over 400 m in the semifinals and came with the Nigerian team in seventh place in the 4-by-400-meter relay .

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he did not get past the first round in the 4 x 400 meter relay .

In 1974 he was eighth over 400 m at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch and seventh again with the Nigerian 4-by-400-meter relay.

He set his personal best of 45.94 s on January 20, 1974 in Christchurch .
