Mamoudou Mara (born December 31, 1990 in Conakry ) is a Guinean football player .

Club career

Mara grew up in the West African country of Guinea, where she started playing football and as a young adult wore the jersey of FC Bah from the state capital Conakry. In 2010 he was signed by the French professional club FCO Dijon , although he was only intended for the second team. In the reserve eleven he drew attention to himself with good performances and although he did not make the jump into the club's first selection, he was poached in January 2012 by the second division AC Arles-Avignon .

At Arles-Avignon he advanced directly to the top performer in central defense and completed his first encounter at the second division level on January 14, 2012 in a 1-0 win against ES Troyes AC at the age of 21, where he immediately over the was used for a full 90 minutes. He usually stayed in central defense for the rest of the season, but after the summer break he hardly played a role within the team. He was only twice on the pitch during the 2012/13 season, most recently on November 2, 2012 in a 4-1 defeat against Olympique Nîmes . In the following season he was no longer called up at all and this led to the fact that on January 31, 2014 he voluntarily ended his employment relationship and preferred to be without a club.

During the summer break of 2014, he found a new employer in the Turkish second division club Adanaspor .

National team

A 2-1 defeat in a friendly against Cameroon was Mara's first encounter on May 26, 2012, which he was allowed to play for the Guinean national team . This was followed by regular appearances for the 21-year-old at the time of his debut until October 2013. He scored his first goal in the national dress on August 15, 2012 in a 2-1 win against Morocco .
