Manfred Bauer (* 1955 ) is a German physicist .

Life

Manfred Bauer studied physics , mathematics and astronomy at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg , where he obtained his doctorate in 1988 at the Institute for Theoretical Physics under Berthold Stech . Together with him and Manfred Wirbel , he developed the influential “Bauer-Stech-Wirbel-Modell” (“BSW-Modell” or “BSW-Framework” for short) for the semileptonic decay of heavy mesons .
