Manfred Ebert (born December 6, 1935 - December 24, 2003 ) was a German soccer player .

Career

Ebert played for 1. FC Saarbrücken until 1957 , the striker scored 24 league goals in five seasons in 30 appearances. Then moved within the Oberliga Südwest to FV Speyer .

National team

During his time at 1. FC Saarbrücken , Ebert played two games for the Saarland national team , which was supervised by coach Helmut Schön . He played his first game on May 1, 1956 against Switzerland. (Final score 1: 1) His second game, a month later ends 0-0 against Portugal's B selection. Both games took place in Saarbrücken at home . In the last game of the Saarland national team, Ebert was no longer considered.
