Manfred Jahn

Manfred Jahn (born January 12, 1950 in Zahna ) is a German historian .

Manfred Jahn received his doctorate in 1980 under Karl-Heinz Gräfe with a thesis on the topic of international cooperation between the FDGB and the brother trade unions of the USSR, the ČSR and the People's Republic of Poland (1952–1955). A contribution to researching the role of the trade unions in the process of deepening friendship and rapprochement between states and peoples of the socialist community at the University of Education "Karl Friedrich Wilhelm Wander" Dresden (PHD). In December 1988 Gräfe, Horst Schneider , Miloň Dohnal and Bernd Baumgärtel did their PhD B with the thesis On the history of political cooperation between neighboring and border districts of the GDR and Czechoslovakia in the years 1949 to 1977. Jahn was then senior research assistant at the PHD. After the reunification he worked as a research assistant for the association "Wissenschaft und Technik Dresden".
