Manfred Klemann

Manfred Klemann (born June 27, 1953 in Singen , Baden-Württemberg ) is a German publisher and entrepreneur.

Life

After completing his studies at the University of Konstanz, Klemann wrote the book Mit Phantasie das Kabel kapern , which was published by Fischer Taschenbuch Verlag in 1983 . In the same year he founded Unterwegs Verlag for publications on travel and communication. In 1993 Klemann founded the company Unterwegs-im-Internet in Singen.

In 2000 he founded Wetter.com AG, from which the German weather information portal and a German weather media service provider emerged, and in 2004 the digital television channel Wetter.com TV, a 24-hour themed program on all aspects of climate and weather. Today wetter.com AG is part of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group , and has been 100% since summer 2014. As part of the complete integration into ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG (since July 7, 2015: ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE), wetter.com AG was converted into wetter.com GmbH. Klemann was CEO of wetter.com AG until the beginning of 2014.

Since autumn 2014 Klemann together with chief editor Matthias Ackeret partner of the publishing house of the Swiss communications specialist magazine personally .

As an author, he writes books about numerous countries such as the USA , India and Spain and publishes a German boarding school guide.

Klemann has two children and lives in Stein am Rhein (Switzerland).
