Manfred Peters (born November 23, 1937 in Herne ) is a former German handball player.
Career
The 1.89 m tall Peters first played at SV Sodingen, Police Sports Club Bochum, Police Sports Club Hannoversch-Münden, Police Sports Club Hildesheim (also as a player trainer) and ultimately at MTV Eintracht Hildesheim . Due to his "powerful throws and his ingenious allusion" he was used 40 times in the Lower Saxony selection team and 22 times in the North German selection team.
Manfred Peters played five international indoor handball matches between 1960 and 1963 to 1964 and scored eight goals. He won the European championship in indoor handball with the German police selection in 1960 . With the North German national team he won the 1962 national cup in field handball in the final against the South West national team. With the Lower Saxony police selection, he won the title of German Police Master in field handball in 1962 and 1964.
Professionally, he worked for the Lower Saxony State Police from 1958 to 1997, most recently as police chief inspector, graduate in administration.
