Manfred Tietzel

Manfred Tietzel (* 1946 in Krefeld ) is a German economist .

Life

Tietzel studied economics at the University of Bonn ( Diplom-Volkswirt 1971) and was a research assistant at the research institute of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung . From 1978 to 2012 he was a professor specializing in methodology and finance at the University of Duisburg-Essen . In 1989 he attended the "Center for Study of Public Choice" at George Mason University in Fairfax in the USA and in 1993 the Research School of the Social Sciences at the Australian National University in Canberra .

Tietzel is co-editor or founding member of four national and international refereed economic journals . He is a member of numerous economic associations and has published numerous German and English books.
