Manfred Weinland

Manfred Weinland (born April 23, 1960 in Zweibrücken ), also known under the pseudonym Adrian Doyle, is a German author.

Since 1977 he has published around 300 books, mainly as a booklet , but also as a paperback, paperback or hardcover, as an author in the genres of horror, science fiction, fantasy, crime and others. He began his career in this regard when he was just 14 years old with publications in various fanzines. His first semi-professional publication was an SF story in the anthology "The Second Me" edited by Perry Rhodan author William Voltz. At the end of the 1970s, through the Grasmück novel agency, he began working on various magazine novel series for the publishers Zauberkreis, Bastei and Pabel-Moewig. In addition to novels for PERRY RHODAN TASCHENBUCH and JERRY COTTON, he wrote for almost all popular titles in the fantastic field: GESPENSTER-KRIMI, DAMONA KING, VAMPIR HORROR ROMAN, DEMON LAND, DINO LAND, MIDNIGHT ROMAN, IRRLICHTX, PROFESSOR ZAMORRA , MISSION MARS and 2012. There were also trips to the trucker milieu (TRUCKER KING) and the short thriller (Neue Post, Neue Revue etc.). He has also developed two extensive series for Bastei-Verlag, supervised exposé-related matters and wrote them on his own for long periods: Bad Earth and Vampira .

Weinland also works as a translator and editor, u. a. for various German-language novels on 'Star Wars' as well as adaptations of computer games.

He received the German Fantastic Prize for the best short story of 2001 for the short story »Heart in Amber« he wrote.

In addition to MADDRAX, he is currently working on the PROFESSOR ZAMORRA series published by Bastei-Lübbe.
