Manfred Wittrock

Manfred Wittrock (born August 20, 1950 in Essen ) is a German psychologist.

Manfred Wittrock received his doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Essen . His habilitation as a Dr. phil. habil. took place through the subject special education and special educational psychology . He was university professor for general special and curative education and behavioral education at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Rostock from 1994 to 2002; from 1998 to 2002 he was Vice Dean of the Philosophical Faculty.

From 2002 until his retirement in 2018, Manfred Wittrock was university professor for pedagogy in behavioral disorders at the Faculty of Education, the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg . His main research interests are the reaction patterns of adolescents to social boundaries, school absenteeism and behavioral literacy .
