Mango ( Komango , Mago ) is an island in the Ha'apai archipelago that belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .
geography
The island is located together with its "little sister" Mango Iki in the center of the Nomuka Group in ʻOtu Muʻomuʻa south of Nukufaiau . In the west of the relatively elongated island there are numerous reefs: Lua Meamea , Ngalualua , Lua Aleingongo , Lua Kafa , Afu Ngalalu and Lua Fasi . To the west, the closest islands are Toka Vevili and Nomuka Iki .
The island rises at Mango Hill to a height of 27 m .
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Ha'apai group, Mango is occasionally hit by cyclones .
