The Mangoro Head is a massive and rocky headland of the island Heard in the southern Indian Ocean . It separates West Bay in the north from Cave Bay in the south.
The headland is named after the whaling ship Mangoro under Captain Evensen, whose crew hoisted the Union Jack on Heard in 1910 .
