Manius Acilius Glabrio (Consul 186)
Manius Acilius Glabrio was a Roman politician and senator from the gens Acilia .
Glabrio's father was Manius Acilius Glabrio , consul in 152. His first consulate cannot be precisely dated, probably 173. In 186 he held his second consulate with the emperor Commodus . After the murder of Commodus, the future emperor Pertinax offered him the office of emperor, since Acilius came from an old noble family. However, Acilius refused. His son Manius Acilius Faustinus became consul in 210.
