Manlio Sgalambro
Manlio Sgalambro (born December 9, 1924 in Lentini , † March 6, 2014 in Catania ) was an Italian philosopher and writer .
Sgalambro was a philosophical writer who became known to a wide audience primarily through his work La morte del sole (1982, German translation Vom Tod der Sonne , 1988). He lived as a freelance writer in Catania .
Since 1994 Sgalambro had also written numerous texts for the singer-songwriter Franco Battiato .
