The Mannesmann Line Pipe is an international, German manufacturer of longitudinally welded steel pipes with plants in Siegen and Hamm . The company is embedded in the Mannesmann division of the Salzgitter Group .
history
In 1975, Hoesch acquired a 50 percent stake in the Siegen family company Fuchs, which launched the push-in socket water pipes and fiber cement-coated pipes on the market in the 1980s. In 1993, Mannesmann founded the Mannesmann Hoesch Präzisrohr GmbH, based in Hamm (MHP) together with Hoesch, for its line pipe and precision jet pipe production, and took over the 50 percent share of the Siegen company that had been held by the Fuchs family up to that point. In 1996 Mannesmann took over the MHP company shares from Hoesch and thus became the sole owner of the company in Hamm.
Mannesmannröhren-Werke became the management company of the tubes division in the Salzgitter Group in 2000. Line pipe production in Hamm was spun off from MHP under the name Mannesmann Line Pipe.
In 2004, Mannesmann became the sole owner of Röhrenwerk Gebr. Fuchs GmbH in Siegen. In 2006 the production of line pipes in Hamm and Siegen was merged into Mannesmann Fuchs Rohr GmbH. After being renamed Salzgitter Mannesmann Line Pipe GmbH in 2008, the company has been operating under the Mannesmann Line Pipe GmbH since October 2017.
