The list of team squads of the national division (chess) 1997/98 contains all players who have played at least one game in the Luxembourg national chess division 1997/98 with their individual results.
The number of registered players was not limited. While De Sprénger Echternach and the first teams of Le Cavalier Differdange and Cercle d'échecs Dudelange got by with 13 players each, Gambit Bonnevoie used 18 players. A total of 114 players were used, 21 of whom played in all competitions.
The best player with 7.5 points from 10 games was Jean-Marie Weber (Cercle d'échecs Philidor Dommeldange-Beggen), Denis Baudot (Gambit Bonnevoie), Jean-Claude Schuller (Le Cavalier Belvaux), Paul Goerens ( Le Cavalier Differdange) and Serge Karp (Cercle d'échecs Philidor Dommeldange-Beggen), where Baudot played 8 games, Schuller, Goerens and Karp 10 each.
With Henri Moris, Michael Wiedenkeller , Gunnar Gnad, Geoffrey Stern (all Gambit Bonnevoie), Peter Daus and Gérard Thill (both Le Cavalier Belvaux) six players achieved 100%, with Wiedenkeller playing six games, Moris five, Gnad two, Stern, Daus and Thill one each.
