Manuel Folch i Torres (* 1877 in Barcelona ; † 1928 there ) was a Catalan writer, journalist, lawyer and politician. He was the son of the famous Barcelona cabinet maker Lluís Folch i Brossa .

Folch entered the humanities by contributing to the literary journals L'Aureneta and L'Atlàntida . He was a member of the conservative, Catalan Lliga Regionalista and head of the satirical magazine ¡Cu-Cut! . He was secretary of the Barcelona Tourist Board.

At the Jocs Florals of Barcelona in 1914 he became master of the Gai Saber , master of the "happy science". He published the volume of poetry Encens i Mirra (frankincense and myrrh), the novella L'apòstol (The Apostle) and the comedies De bon tremp (1905, The Overworking), La cogula (1906, The monk's robe), L'oncle rector (1911 , My uncle, the rector), La germaneta (1912, The little sister) and Reixes enfora (Outside the bars ) and the fables for toddlers De quan les bèsties parlaven (When the animals spoke) and Encara parlen les bèsties (The animals speak still).
