Manuel Gallinato

Manuel Gallinato (* 1893 ; † 1968 ) was a Chilean painter .

Gallinato studied at the Escuela de Bellas Artes with Fernando Álvarez de Sotomayor and was one of the painters of the Generación del Trece . He taught art at the Liceo de los Andes for many years . As a painter, he stood out primarily with pictures of Chilean landscapes and buildings. The oil painting Jardín Abandonado (1919) is owned by the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes . The art gallery of the Universidad de Concepción owns other works .
