Manuel Pando
Manuel Pando was a Mexican soccer player and later coach who - as far as can be understood - always worked in his hometown of Monterrey .
Life
Pando played in the first and for years only first division appearance of CF Monterrey in the 1945/46 season with the "Rayados" and later took over the position of head coach. Under his leadership, the club won the second division championship in the 1955/56 season, which succeeded in returning to the top division. But even as a coach, his membership in the first division was limited to one season because the Rayados had to accept immediate relegation at the end of the 1956/57 season .
After relegation, the CF Monterrey played again in the second division , but Pando started a new project with some colleagues. Together with some fellow campaigners, he founded the Jabatos de Nuevo León, a new club, whose first coach Pando was also at the start of the second division season 1958/59.
