Manuel Antonio Rojas Zúñiga (born June 13, 1954 in Santiago de Chile ) is a former Chilean football player who mainly played in midfield .

career

Rojas began his professional career at CD Palestino and two years later moved to the Mexican league , where he was part of the championship team of Club América in the 1975/76 season .

After only one season Rojas returned to CD Palestino, with which he also won the Chilean football championship in 1978 .

After another stint at the CD Universidad Católica , Rojas moved to the United States in 1983 , where he worked for various clubs (both indoor and outdoor) until the end of his career in 1991.

National team

Between 1977 and 1983 Rojas completed a total of 29 missions for the Chilean national team , in which he scored two goals. The highlight of his national team career was taking part in the 1982 World Cup in Spain , where he was substituted on in the first group match against Austria (0-1).
