María Cecilia Chacón Rendón is a Bolivian politician .

From April 6, 2010, she was Minister of Defense of her country in the cabinet of Evo Morales . María Cecilia Chacón resigned from her post as Minister of Defense on September 26, 2011. The reason was a violent police operation against protesting Amazon Indians the day before, against which they wanted to protest. It was about a road construction project through the Isiboro-Secure National Park and indigenous reserve .
