María Francisca de Abarca († around 1656) was a Spanish painter .
Life
María de Abarca, originally from Aragón , married the painter Francisco Luis Climens, Mr. von Baubín, who gave her lessons in his professional field. She worked in Madrid in the middle of the 17th century and was also active as a poet. Their miniatures and portraits in particular were widely recognized; The Spanish painter and writer José García Hidalgo, for example, praised them in his Principios para estudiar el nobilísimo arte de la pintura (Madrid, 1691).
