Maramasike , also South Malaita or Small Malaita , is an island in the Malaita Province of the island state of the Solomon Islands . The approximately 480 km² large island is located immediately southeast of the island of Malaita and separated from it by the 14.6 km long and mostly only a few hundred meters wide Maramasike Passage , the area around which is a protected wetland . Sa'a is spoken on the island .
