Lankwitz cemetery
The state-owned cemetery Lankwitz (in older sources also the old cemetery Lichterfelde-Ost ) is located in the Berlin district of Lankwitz in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district . It was created in 1879. The cemetery chapel was built from brick in the Gothic style in 1889 . The aviation pioneer Otto Lilienthal is buried in the 2.14 hectare cemetery .
location
The Lankwitz cemetery borders on Lange Straße to the north, where the main entrance and the chapel are located. In the west it borders on Lorenzstrasse and thus on the district of Lichterfelde . In the south lies the gravel road and in the east the properties of the Monikastiftes and the Catholic parish of Mater Dolorosa .
