Michael Borgis

Michael Borgis (born September 3, 1945 in Berlin ; † November 16, 2004 ) was a Berlin politician ( CDU ).

Borgis worked professionally as a teacher at a secondary school. He also chaired the Hertha BSC general assembly .

From 1991 until his death, Borgis was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives for the Steglitz district , from 2001 for the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district , most recently as a direct candidate in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf constituency 4 . In parliament he was the sports policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group and chairman of the committee for youth, family, school and sport. After his death, Uwe Lehmann-Brauns moved up in parliament.

Borgis was diagnosed with cancer in 2003 , of which he died in November 2004. He left behind his wife and two children.
