Marauder is a shoot-'em-up computer game that was developed for the Commodore 64 in 1988 by the game company Hewson Consultants .

Captain CT Cobra has the task of carrying out a journey on the planet Mergatron with his vehicle Marauder , which is only equipped with a laser bullet. Kidnappers have hidden the Ozymandias jewels on the planet. These are protected by alien defense systems.

Support may be found between the aggressively firing, indefinable opponents - beacons. Depending on the color at the time the laser bullet hits the vehicle, they help the vehicle further. You get extra smart bombs and weapons, but also protective shields and extra lives. The blue, purple, and green beacons are hostile. They temporarily disable the laser, steal your own life or change the control of the vehicle.

You have 16 intelligent bombs at your disposal and at the end of each level you have to defeat a boss .
