Marc Bleuse

Marc Bleuse (born February 23, 1937 in Niort ) is a French composer and music teacher.

Life

After a classical apprenticeship at the Collège Saint-Michel , Marc Bleuse studied at the Paris Conservatory with Simone Plé-Caussade and André Jolivet and graduated in 1969 as a state-certified music school director. In 1975 Marcel Landowski appointed him to the Conservatory, which he directed from 1983 to 1986. In 1986 François Léotard appointed him director of music and dance at the Ministry of Culture.

From 1990 to 2004, Bleuse was director of the Conservatory in Toulouse, and in 1993 he was appointed director of the Center d'Etudes Supérieures de Musique et Danse de Toulouse by the Ministry of Culture . In addition, he appeared as a composer of orchestral and chamber music works (song cycle Mes voyages amoureux , Concerto pour violoncelle et orchestre à cordes , Soleil blanc for cello solo, alternative for viola and piano) and undertook concert tours as a conductor to Russia and the USA.
