Marc Eulerich

Marc Eulerich (* 1981 in Hagen ) is a German economist and professor of business administration. He holds the chair for internal auditing at the Mercator School of Management at the University of Duisburg-Essen (Duisburg campus).

Life

Marc Eulerich studied economics and social sciences at the University of Dortmund from 2001 to 2005 . His empirical diploma thesis on the subject of "The Effects of the New Basel Equity Regulation (Basel II) on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises" was awarded the Society for Controlling eV's sponsorship award for the best diploma thesis in 2005. Eulerich also received the ThyssenKrupp Award for Excellence in 2006 for this work.

From 2005 to 2008 Eulerich worked as a research assistant at Professor Welge & Company GmbH & Co. KG in the areas of strategy and controlling .

From 2006 to 2008 Eulerich was active as an external doctoral student at the chair for corporate management and dealt with the topic of strategic controlling of M&A . From 2009 to 2011, after completing his doctorate , Eulerich was a research assistant at the same chair.

From 2011 to 2016 Eulerich held the endowed chair of the German Institute for Internal Auditing (DIIR) "Internal Auditing and Corporate Governance" at the University of Duisburg-Essen . Since 2016 the chair for internal auditing . This became part of the “Internal Auditing Education Partnership” (IAEP) program of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in August 2017. Universities, which are included in the IAEP program offer students the opportunity during their studies in the field of internal audit to specialize and to complete courses on this topic.
