Marcel Adam (born February 1, 1995 in Hildesheim ) is a German badminton player for MTV Harsum . He starts in parabadminton in the starting class SL4, in singles as well as in doubles and mixed.

Athletic career

In 2016 Adam took part in the European Badminton Championships for the disabled in Beek , the Netherlands , and won the silver medal in doubles in the SL3-SL4 class with his Spanish partner Cruz Mondejar . In 2017 he started at the Badminton World Championship for the disabled in Ulsan, South Korea, with his partner Katrin Seibert in the mixed pedestrian class SL3-SU5. They defeated the reigning world champions Raj Kumar and Parul Parmar from India in the round of 16 , and lost in the semifinals to the later Indonesian title winners Leani Ratri Oktila and Hary Susanto . At the European Badminton Championships for the disabled in Rodez , Adam again won the silver medal with Seibert in 2018.
