Marcel Krumm

Marcel Krumm (* 1978 in Wuppertal ) is a German legal scholar. He is a university professor at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster .

Life

Marcel Krumm studied law at the Ruhr University Bochum from the winter semester 1998/99 and passed the first state examination in February 2003 before the examination office of the Hamm Higher Regional Court. This was followed by a two-year activity as a research assistant and then a legal clerkship in the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court district. Following the second state examination in law in 2007, he worked as a lawyer at the law firm “ GÖRG - Partnership of Lawyers”. In April 2008 he was licensed as a tax advisor.

From October 2008 to March 2014, Marcel Krumm was a temporary academic advisor at the Chair of Tax Law ( Roman Seer ), Ruhr University Bochum . At the end of 2008 he received his doctorate with the thesis "Tax enforcement and formal insolvency". iur. and a good five years later he completed his habilitation at the Law Faculty of the Ruhr University Bochum with the habilitation thesis "Tax assessment as a legal problem". In November 2013 he was awarded the venia legendi for the areas of public law, tax law and accounting law.

Since April 2014 he has held the chair for public law and tax law at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster. He declined calls for the W3 Chair for Public Law and Tax Law at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (July 2015) and the W3 Chair for Corporate Tax Law and Public Law at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in favor of the Westphalian Wilhelms University from.

Marcel Krumm has been working as a judge at the finance court in the second main office at the Münster Finance Court since September 2014 . He is a member of the 4th Senate.

Marcel Krumm is a member of the Association of German Constitutional Law Teachers and the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Tax Law Society .
