Marcel Meran, who sailed for the Yacht Club de France and the Cercle de la Voile de Paris , took part in the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris , where he competed in three competitions. As a member of the crew of the yacht Scamasaxe , he did not reach the finish line in the joint race. In contrast, he finished the first race in the 0.5 to 1 tonne boat class with skipper Émile Michelet in third place and even finished second in the second race.
