Marcel Vervloesem

Marcel Vervloesem (* 1953 in Lier ; † January 22, 2018 in Herenthout ) was a Belgian activist in the field of child pornography . He earned his living as an office worker in Morkhoven .

Marcel Vervloesem founded the Werkgroep Morkhoven in 1989. In 1998 he handed over 10,000 pornographic, some of them sadistic, images to the public prosecutor's office, as well as 3,000 documents such as customer addresses and accounts.

In 2006 a court found that Vervloesem had molested three minors himself between 2003 and 2005 and sentenced him to five years in prison, two of which were suspended. He was already in 1979 in a mental institution for sexual abuse. In 2009 Vervloesem was seriously ill.
