Life

Michelangeli was elected "Miss Lido" in 1962 and then "Miss Liguria". She attended the Liceo di Belle Arti in Genoa and was occasionally seen at the “Piccolo Teatro Duse” of the city , sponsored by Dario Fo . After moving to the Italian capital, she started a career as a pop singer under the name Marcella Perani and from 1967 onwards she also played in several films. In her private life she was in a relationship with the television director Adolfo Perani and later the actor Lou Castel . Occasionally she was also hired for television plays and series episodes on Italian television. Their portrayal in the 1979 film Immacolata e Concetta, l'altra gelosia, about a lesbian relationship, sparked major discussions, like the entire film, because of the openness and sensuality of the scenes. In 1981 Michelangeli ended her career.
