Marcellinus (Consul 275)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Marcellinus was a Roman senator . In 275 he was full consul with Emperor Aurelian .

Marcellinus could perhaps be that Marcellinus who, after another uprising of Palmyra , in the year 273, by Apsaeus and Septimius Antiochus , betrayed the rebellion of Aurelian, and was rewarded for this by Aurelian with the consulate. That Marcellinus was probably governor of Mesopotamia ( Praefectus Mesopotamiae rectorque Orientis ). Or maybe it is Aurelius Marcellinus , the Dux ducenarius Italia in the year 265.
