Marcello Bardola

Marcello Bardola (* 1925 in Genoa ; † 1999 in Zurich ) was a Swiss actuary and bridge master .

Bardola studied in Zurich and worked as chief mathematician at the Zurich insurance company . From 1988 to 1994 he was President of the Swiss Bridge Association . He played with the Swiss national team several times at European Championships and Olympics. He won various national tournaments, u. a. five times the team championships and four times the open pair championships. He published numerous articles on theories of bridge in newspapers and magazines.

The Swiss author, journalist and translator Nicola Bardola is his son.
