Marcelo Tapia , full name Marcelo Daniel Tapia Amarillo , (born September 26, 1992 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.86 meter tall midfielder Tapia has been a member of the professional team of Club Atlético Progreso at least since the Apertura 2012 . After he had played four games (no goal) of the Primera División in the 2012/13 season , he ran after relegation in the 2013/14 season in ten second division games and scored one goal. At the end of August 2014, he moved to Club Oriental de Football . After advancing from the third division, he was used in 14 second division matches in the 2015/16 season and scored once in the opposing goal. At the end of July 2016, he then joined the Uruguayan first division relegated Villa Teresa . In the 2016 season he played eight games in the Segunda División with the Montevideans and scored two goals.
