Marco Darmon

Marco Darmon (born January 26, 1930 ; † August 8, 2017 ) was a French lawyer . He was an Advocate General at the European Court of Justice .

Darmon was initially a civil servant in the French Ministry of Justice and lecturer at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne . As a civil servant he rose to the position of deputy director in the cabinet of the Minister of Justice. He became President of a Chamber of the Cour d'appel Paris and then Director of the French Ministry of Justice.

On February 13, 1984 he began his service as Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Communities . He held this office until October 6, 1994.

Darmon died on August 8, 2017.
