Marco Ponti

Marco Ponti (born July 25, 1967 in Avigliana ) is an Italian screenwriter and film director .

Life

The nephew Carlo Pontis graduated in Modern Literature from the University of Turin and worked there for some time as an assistant. While writing and directing short films, he also submitted an investigation into Quentin Tarantino and worked for radio and television. He has received a number of awards for his own works, including the European Film Prize . In 2000 he was responsible for the script for the feature film Se fossi in te ; the following year he made his directorial debut Santa Maradona ( Red Card for Love ), which was awarded two David di Donatello and a Ciak d'oro and was also one of the popular hits of 2002. A / R Andata + Ritorno followed in 2004 . In the period that followed, Ponti tried out various art forms: in addition to other scripts, he directed a video clip for Vasco Rossi, translated theater plays and made a documentary film, La luna di giorno . In 2013 his third film, Passione sinistra , was released, in which Eva Riccoboni offered an award-winning performance as an actress. Ponti's television work Ti amo troppo per dirtelo was shown in June 2014.

Ponti is married and has three children.
