Marco Zanoni (born February 28, 1991 in Buchloe ) is a German-Italian feature film editor and colorist .

biography

Zanoni was born in the Allgäu as the son of a housekeeper and a master painter. After completing secondary school in 2008, he studied Digital Film & Animation at the SAE Institute in Munich until 2013 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts . It was shaped by the blockbuster films of the 90s. His graduation film JAin was nominated for the Dorothees Shoe Award as “Best Short” at the Merlinka Queer Film Festival. In this film, Marco processed some personal experiences from his teenage days.

From 2012 to 2016 Zanoni worked for The Walt Disney Company (Germany) GmbH in the area of ​​on-air promotion and operations for the German Disney Channels . Zanoni has been a freelance editor and colorist for feature films and TV formats since 2016. In addition, he was accepted into the professional association of editors BFS in 2018.

He edited his first feature film Hollywood Turk (2019) from 2015 to 2016. This was followed by three further feature films from 2016 to 2018. In addition to his activities as a feature film editor, primarily for independent cinema, he works as an on-air promotion editor. For this he won the 1st Prize Eyes & Ears of Europe Award in 2017 for his editing work in the category “Best On-Air Program Spot: Children” for the Disney Channel Spot : Schnabeltiertag , and in 2019 third place in the same category for the Spot Disney Channel: Star Wars Day .
