Marco van Belle

Marco van Belle (* in Dublin ) is an Irish film director , film producer and screenwriter .

Life

Marco van Belle grew up in Dublin. He gained his first acting experience at the Samuel Beckett Theater in Dublin. He later moved to the UK where he worked as a journalist and television producer for the BBC .

As an actor, he starred in the 1999 film The Book That Wrote Itself in a supporting role. He was the cameraman for the multi-part television documentary Helicopter Heroes . In 2007 he made his first own film with the short film Me Head's a Shed . The film Arthur and Merlin earned him more attention . Marco van Belle also acted as producer and screenwriter. Currently (as of spring 2020) work is on for a continuation.
