Marcus Aemilius Barbula

Marcus Aemilius Barbula was a Roman politician belonging to the Aemilians . In 230 BC He was consul . His counterpart was Marcus Iunius Pera . Both consuls waged war in Liguria during their tenure .

His full name was M. Aemilius L. f. Q. after Barbula . His father was the consul of the year 281 BC. BC, Lucius Aemilius Barbula .

Whether an inscription found in Brundisium in the early 1950s refers to the consul of 230 BC. Or to the consul Aemilius Barbula of the year 311 BC. Refers to is historically controversial.
