Marcus Hoffmann (economist)

Marcus Hoffmann (born 1968 in Detmold ) is a German economist and university professor.

Life

Hoffmann studied business administration and economics with degrees in business administration (1994), economics degree (1998) and Dr. rer. pole. (1997) at the Philipps University of Marburg .

From 1994 to 2009 he worked in marketing and sales for international companies, eleven years of which as Head of Marketing and Head of Marketing and Sales. In 2009 he founded the management consultancy Dr. Hoffmann & Günkel partnership company.

This was followed by a call to the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences and a call to the endowed professorship for industrial goods marketing at DHBW Mosbach . From 2010 to 2012 he worked as a professor at the Bad Mergentheim campus of DHBW Mosbach. In 2012, he moved to the DHBW Heidenheim as head of the course and dean of the business faculty . There he developed the business administration-international business course. In 2015 he was appointed Vice-Rector for Studies and Teaching of the DHBW Heidenheim and re-elected as Vice-Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Business in 2018.
