Marcus Junius Silanus (Praefectus socium)

Marcus Iunius Silanus († 196 BC ) came from the Roman noble family of Junier . He was perhaps the son of the praetor of the same name, who operated quite successfully in Spain during the Second Punic War . All that is known about Silanus is that he died in 196 BC. In the position of a Praefectus socium in the fight against the Celtic tribe of the Boier lost his life.
