Marcus Lauesen

Marcus Lauesen (born November 22, 1907 in Løjt Kirkeby , † October 14, 1975 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish writer.

Lauesen wrote poems, short stories and novels. He is considered a chronicler of the Danish minority in Northern Schleswig at the time of the First World War . His novel “Og nu venter vi paa skib” (German “And now we're waiting for the ship”) from 1931 became particularly well-known .

Lauesen, who worked as a newspaper critic in Sweden, won numerous literary prizes.
