Marcus Rapilius Serapio
Marcus Rapilius Serapio was a Roman artisan of the 1st / 2nd centuries. Century.
It is unclear whether works by Rapilius Serapio have survived. He is only known from a grave inscription that was found in Rome . According to this inscription, Rapilius was an oculariarius . So he probably made eyes for statues, at least put them in place for statues. He worked in the area of the so-called marble altar , the location of which is uncertain. Today the tombstone with the inscription is in Florence .
