Marcus Valerius Messalla Messallinus was a Roman politician and senator .

Valerius Messalla was the son of Marcus Valerius Messalla Messallinus Corvinus , consul in 3 BC. BC, and the Calpurnia. His grandfather was the literary and art patron Marcus Valerius Messalla Corvinus . Only his regular consulate is known of Valerius Messalla's political career , which he held together with his uncle Marcus Aurelius Cotta Maximus Messalinus in the year 20 AD. The two carried out the office throughout the year, which was unique under Emperor Tiberius .
